I
like walking barefooted in our bedroom. At home, I give both my feet
time to feel “free” or lightweight that is, walking around the
room without any slippers on or socks. However, our floor is made of
wood. Not one can help it, but I just contracted a splinter to my
right heel. Everytime I step on it, it hurts.
I
asked my husband to check and see if there was any splinter. He
inspected the area with a magnifying glass. This is to know how small
or deep the splinter has gone into. The smaller the splinter, the
more it becomes uncomfortably painful. He attempted to take it out with a
tweezer. The splinter was so tiny, he was only able to take out the
far end and left the other half deep into the skin. I did not want to
dig deeper into the skin with a needle. So, I placed an electrical
tape and left it in 24-48 hours. The tape somehow had caused the
splinter to rise further to the skin surface. It was then easier to
pull out with a tweezer. Finally, I was relieved.

I
looked into many ways on how to remove a splinter. I only did the
easiest one. So far,
wikiHow
has provided a better illustration and explanation on How To Remove A
Splinter.
